The Oregon Wave Energy Trust (OWET) is a non-profit organization charged with making Oregon a national leader in wave energy – from harnessing the ocean power to the responsible development of projects along the coast of Oregon. It was funded by the Oregon Innovation Council in 2007 and is composed of stakeholders including representatives from industry, fishing, environmental, government and community groups.

Oregon Wave Energy Trust was funded in part with Oregon State Lottery Funds administered by the Oregon Business Development Department. It is one of six Oregon Innovation Council initiatives supporting innovation and long term economic growth.
